Goals & Targets walkthrough

Set about three yearly goals for Ambitio, add about three to five targets on each, then do the same for this quarter. Fewer or more is fine.

The short version

Open Goals & Targets after Ambitio’s strategy is saved. Work the phases in order: Goals, then Targets, then Overview.

Write about three qualitative yearly goals with the Goals Agent. Diego’s set is finishing setup, talking the work through, and keeping plans running. Save the goals. You can edit them again anytime. Numbers wait for the Targets phase.

Then set about three to five targets on each goal with the Targets Agent. Repeat for this quarter. Action Plans already opened when strategy was saved. The setup chain is complete when every goal you keep has at least one target.

  1. Step 1

    Set about three yearly goals

    Stay on the Goals phase. Chat with the Goals Agent. Ambitio’s example titles are Founders finish setup, Talk the work through with the agent, and Quarterly targets have running plans. About three is a useful focus. Fewer or more is allowed. Click Save goals. You can edit them again later.

  2. Step 2

    Put numbers on each goal

    The left rail becomes the Targets Agent. Add about three to five targets on each yearly goal. Fewer or more is allowed. Every goal you keep needs at least one. Ambitio’s first numbers are invited founders through setup, founders who save strategy in week one, and setup sessions completed. Click Save targets. These numbers are the annual scoreboard, not the list of Actions.

  3. Step 3

    Repeat for this quarter

    Do the same pair for this quarter. About three qualitative goals is a useful focus, then about three to five targets on each. Action Plans already opened with strategy. When every quarterly goal you keep has a target, the setup chain is complete and Agenda shows the open work. Overview is the living scorecard.
